transformers bumblebee 1. Really good story. Kind of movie human autobot alliance stuff turned on its head. And a return to artwork that is more like what has gone before. If the ongoing series had art such as this it would make me feel a lot happier. Hope Mr figueroa changes his style back to what it was. Even though its nice to see a change/interpretation the bots are looking to movie like. Keep that for movie related comics. Bumblebee 1 has reaffirmed my enjoyment in this franchise. May the work put into this continue. Looking forward to last stand of the wreckers.

Re: Auto Assembly 2010 Bookings Open! « Result #15 on Oct 17, 2009, 11:23pm »
With regards to the AA2009 cinema screening of Revenge Of The Fallen, we spoke to three cinemas in Birmingham City Centre - the Odeon, another that was just on the edge of the centre and the IMAX. One never bothered to reply to us, and the IMAX wouldn't offer us an exclusive screening unless we gave them a guarantee of at least 250 ticket sales for the film and even then they wouldn't give us a discount from their £9 a head ticket price.
With most fans having seen the film and - to be perfectly honest - not long before the convention - it was impossible for us to offer that sort of a guarantee and if we were to allow the IMAX to open it up as a public screening to get the numbers then it simply wouldn't be an Auto Assembly event so the Odeon was the only choice and they were only too happy to work with us to make it happen.
We are working on a screening of *something* for Auto Assembly 2010 but we're not announcing anything at the moment until we know exactly what is happening but again the Odeon is pretty keen on working closely with us.
We won't include any cinema tickets with registration prices as standard as not everyone will want to go to see a movie as part of their convention package - some people will book places for younger attendees who simply won't be old enough to go, and others may not arrive in time or may just want to do other things or meet up with friends for a meal or drink on the Friday evening so we feel that the only way to offer this is as an optional add-on.

while I will be at auto assembly 2010, I do hope that the events organisers decide to get around too booking any IMAX screening of TF3 for auto assembly 2011 and hopefully have the event better organised than this years pruposed screening of Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen, that screening will be included as part of any pre registration package.
